Are you an inspirational and ambitious school leader with the skills and enthusiasm to lead the strategic growth of Science and STEM across the school?
The Head of Science will lead the department in delivering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and Health and Social Care. GCSE, A level and BTEC courses are offered and the position will provide a stimulating challenge for the right candidate to lead a large team of 35 subject specialists, curriculum leaders, coordinators and technicians. There is a developing programme of super curricular opportunities, with scope to innovate and influence the strategic development of the department and the Collegiate.
You will have:
- An excellent track record of leadership experience in a dynamic environment with effective skills in change management
- A proven track record of Science leadership and the delivery of outstanding outcomes across Science and STEM
- A passion for your subject and an ability to deliver outstanding lessons which challenge students. The ability to offer Chemistry or Physics would be welcome but not essential
- Drive, creativity and enthusiasm, seeking a pathway to Senior Leadership
