Wycliffe is seeking a dedicated, inspirational and student-focused teacher to lead our sixth form as we embark on an exciting new phase of our development. The ideal candidate will know how to get the best from young adults, understand their pressures and parental demands, be an outstanding communicator and offer a charismatic presence around the school. A thorough knowledge of how to support UCAS applications is required, as are a 'can-do' attitude, an understanding of using data to support outcomes and a sense of humour.

In return Wycliffe offers the opportunity to lead 200 bright, ambitious and unique students, in a very well-resourced school, set in a superb rural environment in one of the country's most attractive regions and the backing of supportive colleagues. This is a senior management post and the successful candidate will contribute to the whole school's strategic development.

About Us

Wycliffe is an HMC co-educational day and boarding school. Wycliffe is located in Stonehouse, approximately 25 miles north of Bristol and 15 miles south of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Access via the motorway network is convenient (we are 3 miles from the M5) and there is a train station in Stonehouse (on the main line from London to Cheltenham) which is just a two minute walk from the school gates. In the Senior School pupils join at Year 9 (age 13) and continue until Year 13 (age 18). There are around 420 pupils in the school and 225 in the Sixth Form. Some 27 subjects are offered at A Level including Japanese, Film Studies, Computer Science and Psychology. Three BTECs are on offer as well as the EPQ. Main sports are rugby, football and cricket for boys with hockey, netball and tennis for girls. Wycliffe is the top school in the UK for squash, and excels at rowing and basketball and there is a thriving CCF.
