Our Social Science Department is comprised of experienced, enthusiastic and engaging teachers. This year, Queensmead School has achieved 79% A*-CEM and is looking to build on this success.
The Department offers Psychology, Sociology, Politics at Key Stage 5 and Health and Social Care at both Key Stage 4 and 5.
The ideal candidate will have a specialism in Psychology and can teach either Sociology, Politics or Health and Social Care to A level.

Queensmead School strives to maintain a learning environment where students can reach their maximum potential, wherever their skills may lie. Technology is a key part of the education environment, with devices such as visualisers, iPads and Chromebooks a regular classroom feature. There is also a strong emphasis on attendance and punctuality, with these qualities seen as essential to the learning process and academic endeavour.
Queensmead offers students the chance to participate in activities such as music tuition and sports, with facilities including basketball courts, a fitness zone and access to five-a-side football pitches. International experiences offered to secondary students include language development in France, Germany and Spain, trekking excursions in Morocco, and skiing in Italy and Austria.
