Based in Feltham our Skills Centre provides vocational and professional training for 14-19 year olds and adults in Engineering, Catering, Construction and Logistics. The Centre is entering a new phase of development with a LEP funded capital project to develop our practical workshops and our Logistics Centre. The Head of Centre will drive forward these developments, at the same time as ensuring a high quality learning experience for all the students based there.

Purpose of the post:
To create and drive forward a vision for the Skills Centre which will secure its long term position in the community, ensuring it makes a major contribution to transforming the future prospects of local people and businesses.

The Centre needs to continue to adapt to external changes, respond to opportunities and maximise income generation. At the same time it must deliver a high quality learning experience to all our students and stakeholders. The Centre Head role will drive forward this agenda through liaison with relevant external agencies, and with internal managers to ensure successful achievement of projects.
