Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting the Trust’s Facilities function across the whole organisation. The Trust is seeking a dynamic, experience professional to help drive the implementation of the Trust’s Strategic Estates’ plan, manage the facilities team, oversee its utility services and take overall responsibility for the management of Health and Safety across all Trust sites. The ideal candidate will be professionally qualified in a relevant discipline and will assist the Director of Finance and Operations in the planning, costing and managing of estate development and maintenance issues whilst overseeing the resolution of day to day estate matters. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.

Shrewsbury House School Trust has three schools; Shrewsbury House School in Surbiton was founded in 1865 and is a thriving and highly successful school for boys up to 13+. Shrewsbury House Pre-Preparatory School is a co-educational pre-prep school in Esher and The Rowans is a co-educational pre-prep school in Wimbledon.

The post-holder must be able to travel to any of these sites plus our Sports Ground in Chessington on occasions, therefore a valid driving license is essential.

Job description, information on the school and application form can be found on the school’s external website (www.shrewsburyhouse.net) by clicking on Vacancies. Applications should be emailed to Human Resources at recruitment@shstrust.net by the closing date 8th May at 5pm. Interviews will be held on Monday 13th May. Applicants will be considered as they are received and the school reserves the right to appoint at any point during the application process.
