The Grange School is seeking to appoint a new Head of Upper Prep, for February 2025.

As a member of the School´s Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Upper Prep School is responsible for establishing the vision and direction of Upper Prep, regarding both Pastoral and Academic areas, assuring that the School may accomplish its mission and development plan.

The expectations associated with this important role include, but are not limited to, the following:

■To carry out an efficient and effective management of human, curricular, and financial resources.

■To deeply understand and adhere to the school values and promote them consistently.

■To contribute to the formulation, implementation, and operationalisation of the School's strategy.

■To work closely with the Headmaster and the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring a coordinated and aligned vision.

■To lead the selection, training, and appraisal process, and propose development opportunities for the Upper Prep staff.

■To foster clear and permanent communications with pupils, parents, and staff members.

■To build and maintain a strong and constructive relationship with The Grange Community.

■To be available to staff, pupils and parents for consultation at their request.

■To implement, review and monitor the Upper Prep Curriculum, making the necessary adjustments for its differentiation according to pupils' needs, enabling their learning process.

■To ensure the permanent monitoring of pupils´ academic and social progress, and providing the information to their parents regularly.

■To promote academic innovation, seeking the most efficient tools that will benefit our pupils’ learning process.

■To promote extra-curricular activities, that represent the All Rounder spirit.

■To participate in admissions assessments of potential pupils.

The Grange School is a co-educational, independent all-through school with sixth form in Chile, serving pupils from the age of 4-18. The School, situated in La Reina, Santiago has approximately 2,200 pupils on roll.

The Grange School was founded in 1928 and is a bilingual institution, with pupils leaving the school fluent in both Spanish and English. The school enjoys a strong relationship with Britain and the Commonwealth and is affiliated with both the HMC and IAPS, as well as being accredited by the BSO.
