The Norwood School’s Visual Arts Faculty is a vibrant and successful faculty which is central to the school’s specialism. Our Visual Arts specialism with its teaching expertise and excellent facilities is one of the reasons the school is oversubscribed and popular with families in Lambeth and beyond. The Visual Arts faculty incorporates Art, Photography, Graphics, Textiles, and the Technology subjects of Food and Product Design. Subjects are taught across all Key Stages including sixth form and in KS3/4 for technology. Our students are provided with creative opportunities in their every day school life through our commitment to the Arts. This includes a ‘Specialism’ day in Year 9 for students to immerse themselves in a variety of Arts subjects prior to choosing their KS4 pathways.

The VA faculty are a well established and experienced team with the Head of Faculty overseeing 3 department heads, 7 teachers and 3 technicians. The decision to relocate outside of London by the current Head of Faculty has given rise to this opportunity for new leadership. The successful candidate must be a visionary and imaginative individual with the ambition to develop further an inspirational and diverse approach to arts education and a creative curriculum across this specialist Visual and Performing Arts School and within the local community.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished and ambitious current leader to be responsible for a large team in a multi-disciplinary Visual Arts Faculty. This, combined with our school specialism, will provide the successful candidate with an excellent platform to grow towards Senior Leadership in the future. Experience of having led a team previously is essential.
