Due to the retirement of our well respected and successful Head Teacher, the Governors, staff and pupils wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and innovative Head Teacher with a clear aim of leading this highly regarded, ‘very caring’ (Ofsted 2014) primary school to outstanding status.

Our new head teacher will be an inspirational leader who will be as engaging to every child as they are to parents and staff with an inclusive and entrepreneurial flair they will be committed to raising standards in teaching and learning. The school was commended as good with outstanding features during the 2014 Ofsted Inspection which will serve as a springboard to gain the recognition the school rightly deserves.

Our school is looking for a headteacher with the following qualities:

  • The ability to be a motivational lead professional, with a proven track record of effective leadership, who values the contribution of all children, staff, parents, governors and local authority representatives.
  • The drive, energy and vision to lead, nurture and inspire high quality teaching and learning, while embracing the school’s breadth of curriculum and inclusive character so that each child can achieve their full potential.
  • The ability to recognise and build upon existing strengths and develop new opportunities, in a sustainable way, which will enhance the quality of provision and education for all children in our care.
  • Demonstrably excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to think strategically about how to build upon the school’s strong foundations and plan and communicate their vision for further success.
  • Be committed to developing and empowering every member of staff by ensuring continual professional development, support and trust.
