Head Teacher

A special opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, collaborative and inspiring leader to join the team at one of Manchester's most exciting primary schools.

Our experienced Head Teacher is retiring and the children, parents, staff and governors at Pike Fold Primary School are now seeking a Head Teacher who can further develop an exceptional learning environment which sits at the heart of the local community.

Pike Fold Primary School is:

• a growing school. With a brand new building, Pike Fold is a state-of-the-art primary school which is midway through a seven-year expansion programme from one to two-form entry
• an improving school. Pike Fold is a good school which is well on the road to outstanding
• a child-focused school. Ofsted says that at Pike Fold attainment is rising for all pupils. Our school's motto is "where stars sparkle" because Pike Fold is a place where we want every child to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader with a proven track record who:

• has the vision and dedication to take our school from good to outstanding
• has a strategic focus that builds on the school's success
• has the desire to nuture and develop children in a positive learning environment both in our mainstream and dedicated SEN resource provision, which includes children with autism
• is a collaborative and supportive team leader who is committed to excellence in teaching by ensuring the continuing development of staff
• advocates developing strong partnerships between staff, parents, governors and the local community.

Closing date for applications is noon on 20 April 2015.
Shortlisting will take place on 22 April and interviews will be on 29 April.

Depending on skills and relevant experience, salary will be negotiable within the range. Relocation expenses will be considered if the successful candidate is not from the local area.
