Head Teacher of Primary (Free School)

HTGFS is a non-selective primary school which opened to its first reception cohort of 60 students in September 2013. The first year was a great success, winning high praise from the Department for Education. In September this year the school doubled with a new intake of reception students.

We are seeking an ambitious and committed educationalist to lead this exceptional primary school.

The role

The core purpose of this post is to deliver the overall Federation vision within the primary years at HTGFS with a focus initially upon establishing and growing a new primary school.

The successful candidate will play a major part in the strategic leadership of Hatcham College and will play a key role in the development of the Free School as a whole.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will need:

• Strong strategic leadership and excellent management skills
• A passion for securing the highest standard of teaching and learning
• To support the Executive Principal in developing and communicating a clear strategic vision of how to develop the primary successfully
• To provide a positive role model for all staff and students and to demonstrate a shared commitment to the vision of the academy within its all-through context
