Hey with Zion Primary School is a medium sized high performing and successful primary school situated on the Oldham/Saddleworth border. The school was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2013 and has continued to build on that significant achievement. The school has excellent outcomes for pupils particularly in English and Maths and we are keen to replicate that success in other areas of the curriculum.

The school is oversubscribed and popular with parents. Pupil behaviour is excellent and our Governing Body are proactive and supportive. The school has links with the Church of England and Methodist Church both of which are represented on the school’s Governing Body. As a school we work closely with other schools as part of a strong local collaborative and expect all staff to be committed to developing both their own professional practice and the school’s profile within the wider community.

We are looking for an outstanding leader who will need to be creative, committed and enthusiastic. He/she will need to demonstrate a proven track record of boosting and sustaining high performance.

The challenge for the successful candidate will be to take the school forward in collaboration with all stakeholders and the wider school community as we seek to move from good to outstanding.

The Local Authority is currently working closely with schools to develop a co-operative partnership to strengthen the town's education offer for all residents and therefore play a key role in boosting the town's economic regeneration.
