Job overview

Job Ref: T15/50027

Blackshaw Lane Primary is a successful medium sized school situated in the Royton area of Oldham. Our school has a lower than average intake of pupil premium and SEN children. At our last Ofsted Inspection we received a ‘Good’ rating and we continue to build on that very significant achievement.

Our school is well resourced and has excellent learning resources and facilities. We have a very stable intake of pupils and offer a friendly and welcoming environment for both children and parents. Governors at the school are proactive, well informed and ensure a supportive environment for all stakeholders. The school motto is “Life-long learning built on mutual trust and respect” and we strive to live up to that ideal.

Our new Head Teacher will be a proven leader with the ability to move our school to the next stage in its development. An inspirational and passionate leader you will be able to take the school towards ‘outstanding status’ and be able to inspire staff and parents to join you in that goal.

You should have a detailed knowledge of effective school systems and be able to demonstrate a verifiable track record of school improvement.
