Burray Primary School and St Margaret's Hope Community School

The new Head Teacher for these linked schools will need to be able demonstrate they have the knowledge, skills and experience to successfully lead two schools as well as connect with pupils, parents, staff (and the wider community) from both islands.

Applicants must be registered or in the process of registering with the General Teaching Council for Scotland and be able to demonstrate that they have, through both experience and professional development, met the criteria in the Standard for Headship.

As head teacher you will be part of the education service management team and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of education in Orkney as a whole.

Salaries are based on the SNCT Salary Tables and include a Distance Islands Allowance. We offer a generous relocation package.
