Due to the imminent retirement of our highly respected Head Teacher, the Governors want to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic person to take on the leadership of the School. By anybody's estimation, this really is a very good School. Are you the person to make it a great one?

This large Junior School is an integral part of the local community. Situated in a mature residential setting in the heart of the Wirral Peninsula, Overchurch Junior School shares very large grounds with its Infant School Partner. Pupil recruitment is buoyant (current roll of 371) the budget is healthy and OFSTED reports have been consistently good. Approximately 20% of pupils are in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.

The School enjoys a friendly environment in which to work and learn. Teachers, teaching assistants and support staff all work exceptionally well as a team. The children are well-behaved and participate wholeheartedly in all aspects of school life, both in the classroom and in the many and varied extra-curricular activities.

Governors are looking for a Head Teacher who will build on current success. The Head Teacher will need to inspire and lead staff and children to even greater achievements. We want every member of staff to know that they are valued and we want to ensure that every child reaches his or her maximum development potential, both academically and as a fulfilled and contributory citizen.

A further, important element of this post is a requirement to collaborate and work in partnership with the Infant School.
