Job overview

LOVE – LEARN - BELIVE

Blessed Dominic Catholic Primary School is a vibrant, fully subscribed two form entry school judged to be Outstanding in all areas by OFSTED (2019) and the Diocese of Westminster (Dec 2021). We are a thriving, multicultural Catholic community with passionate and dedicated staff, governors and parents, committed to achieving outstanding results in all areas of school life. In September 2019, we moved into a brand new building and have access to the latest technology, resources and a learning approach that supports pupil wellbeing and creativity.

At Blessed Dominic Catholic Primary School, we pride ourselves on being a culturally diverse family. We seek to instil, in every child that we nurture, the joy and wonder of learning.

As we journey together in Christ, we develop children’s resilience, intellectual curiosity and creativity through our positive learning behaviours. We nurture and cherish the unique talents of all, empowering them to flourish and grow into life-long learners.

“Staff provide pupils with a balance of excellent care and guidance and academic challenge” Ofsted 2019

We are proud of our school but recognise that there are always opportunities to develop and improve further. We are looking for a candidate who can build on our strong foundations and make changes where needed. As a confident, innovative and inspirational leader, the successful applicant will show that they are able to maintain good relationships throughout the school community and participate fully in the life of the school.

We can offer you a school, which has:

  • Children who are happy, enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • An experienced and dedicated team who demonstrate a passion for learning and work hard to achieve the best outcomes for our children
  • A caring and supportive learning community, with strong links with parents, the parishes it serves and the local community
  • A collaborative and supportive Governing Board

The new Headteacher has a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact. We would welcome applications from experienced Catholic leaders and would support and develop them as they grow into the role.

You will be:

  • A practising Catholic
  • Someone with passion and enthusiasm for each individual child’s learning and determination to see that each child maximises their full potential
  • Able to demonstrate a clear, consistent focus on teaching and learning and be committed to supporting and developing outstanding teaching
  • Consistent in your drive to raise standards

If you have the vision, drive and determination to lead our school the Governing Board would be delighted to hear from you. We welcome all applications while recognising that this is an ideal opportunity for a skilled and experienced Catholic leader to lead their first school.
