We are seeking an exceptional headteacher for a unique and exciting opportunity. The trustees of Langley Park Academies, a multi-academy trust, and the governors of Langley Park Primary School, a Free School due to open in September 2016, is seeking a dynamic, innovative and community focused candidate to open, and lead our school to become an outstanding local school.

Our vision is of a school that will provide a safe, happy environment in which children can excel. Langley Park Primary will combine traditional values of courtesy, consideration and care with creative and innovative approaches to learning. We aim to enable our children to become future leaders by developing personal learning and thinking skills and attributes. We will empower them find out how to learn, develop resilience, creativity and the abilities to collaborate and to take responsible risks so that they become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and enterprising contributors. Our key specialist focus is on Maths, drawing on the expertise of both Langley schools. You will have the exciting prospect of making this vision a reality and shaping the new school from scratch.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We are keen to appoint a headteacher to start in January 2016 and since the site is not yet known, interviews will be held in our partner schools, Hawes Down Infant School and Langley Park School for Girls. Interviews will be held on 24th and 25th June 2015.

Langley Park Primary School was approved by the Department for Education in March 2015 and has entered the pre-opening stage. Opening is dependent on the Secretary of State signing the final Funding Agreement.

Langley Park Primary Academy opened in September 2016 and has started to become the hub of this new community. We believe in – and celebrate – achievement and success in all areas of the curriculum. We want our children to learn within a culture of curiosity, enjoyment and positive approaches to new experiences and skills to enable them to become successful learners. Through enrichment opportunities we aim to explore the creative arts and PE as often as possible in the academy day ­building on existing strengths as well as helping children develop new skills.
