Ridgeway Primary School and Nursery is a large maintained school located in spacious surroundings just outside Croydon , recently judged Outstanding by Ofsted.

With the retirement of our Headteacher, Governors now seek an innovative, inspirational and experienced leader with shared values and vision, to lead us into the next stage of our development. The successful candidate will build on our many strengths and achievements to ensure we are at the forefront of primary practice. Above all, you will help secure Ridgeway's future.

Our new Headteacher will be someone who:

  • Is an experienced and creative leader, either a headteacher already or a dynamic deputy head looking for their next move
  • Has the highest expectations and the energy and determination to strive for excellence
  • Can quickly establish high quality relationships with the children, staff, parents and governors within this collaborative and high performing community
  • Has strong collaborative leadership skills and can identify and nurture talent whilst motivating and inspiring others
  • Has a track record in raising standards and improving school effectiveness.
  • Is passionate about high-quality teaching and learning that meets the needs of all our children
  • Is committed to developing our inclusive and nurturing ethos
