Stenson Fields Primary Community School, Derby - ‘Learning Together, Sharing Together, Succeeding Together’

The school is situated in an area of extensive housing development on the south western fringe of Derby and is easily accessible form the A511 ring road. We are committed to providing a rich and diverse and challenging learning environment for all of our children.

Following the decision of our inspiring and successful Head Teacher to retire from post in August 2015, the pupils, staff and Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, inspirational and effective leader who can build on our current success and has the vision to take our school forward.

We are looking for someone who:-

• Has proven leadership skills and can manage a range of initiatives including the proposed new school building development.
• Is able to commit to the highest of standards, has vision and integrity and leads by example.
• Is an outstanding practitioner who has consistently successful classroom practice.
• Has highly effective organisational, managerial, motivational and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead the curriculum to ensure that it is accessible and inclusive for all pupils.
• Has the desire to encourage and nurture a love of learning through the setting of high expectations for children’s achievements and behaviour.
• Has the collaborative interpersonal skills necessary to build positive and long lasting relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community.
• Be committed to excellence in teaching and learning through effective empowerment, coaching and continued development of staff.
• Embraces multiculturalism and has a commitment to valuing cultural diversity.
• Has the ability to lead and inspire staff to move the school forward.
