Goose Green Primary and Nursery School is a large, well-respected and popular diverse community school for children aged 3-11 years. In 2012 the school gained Academy status and in 2013 became a National Support School. Currently, all of our teachers are at least ‘Good’ with 40% rated as ‘Outstanding’. The School is recognised locally and nationally for its exceptional performance and achievements.

The Governors are seeking a leader to continue the inspirational work achieved so far and to build on the solid foundations of raised achievement and aspiration. Governors are particularly keen to explore the opportunities given by gaining Teaching School status and, in time, to grow the Trust.

The Governors want to appoint:

• An experienced Headteacher with a successful track record of whole school improvement.
• Someone with the ambition and drive needed to establish a successful Teaching School whilst simultaneously raising academic standards of our pupils to ‘Outstanding’ status
• A networker, driven by partnerships, successful through consultation and collaboration.
