Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a new Headteacher at Woodpecker Hall, part of the Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust. CHAT was formed in 2010, and currently has five successful schools as part of its portfolio, four of them primary, including Woodpecker Hall, and one secondary school.

The successful candidate will lead the school into the next exciting stage of its journey. Woodpecker has achieved a good ofsted inspection in 2011 with elements of outstanding and is set to achieve outstanding in the near future.

Key duties and responsibilities involve:

  • providing the strategic leadership and management which enables the Academy to give every pupil high quality education and which promotes the highest possible standards of achievement
  • making a positive contribution to the Academies’ Leadership Team
  • securing the long-term success of the Academy
  • undertaking, to the extent required by the Executive Headteacher or Board of Trustees, the professional duties of Headteacher at any CHAT school as required.
