An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Headteacher at Escrick Church of England Primary School. The Governors are seeking to appoint an exceptional and motivated candidate to build on the school's previous and current success.

Our school is an inclusive and high performing village primary school with an experienced, dedicated teaching staff and happy, well-achieving pupils. It is actively supported by a strong set of governors and parents. We currently have an outstanding rating from Ofsted.

The Christian character of the school is complemented by a values-based approach to education. The strong set of Christian values has been established following the full participation of pupils, staff, parents and governors. These values are fundamental to us and continue to be developed. Many visitors describe the school as warm and welcoming, and our children are happy, confident and independent learners.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated new Headteacher who has a natural empathy for our culture within the school, church and village community and the ability to be a respected team leader. The successful applicant can expect the full support of staff, pupils, parents, governors and our village. Our school roll is 130 and the Headteacher will spend a minimum of 0.1fte of their time teaching on a flexible basis. Applications from existing Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers and ambitious experienced teaching staff are welcome.
