Ferry Lane Primary School is looking to appoint a Headteacher to commence in September 2015. This is an exciting opportunity for a current Head of School, Deputy or Assistant Headteacher wanting to undertake their first Headship.

We are in an exciting phase of growth. The school is in a strong position financially and the successful candidate will have the full support of a committed governing body and access to first-class peer-to-peer support from other outstanding local school leaders.

Ferry Lane Primary School is a one form entry school for children aged 3 - 11. The primary school located in the Borough of Haringey is graded “Good” by Ofsted (2014).

Our aim at Ferry lane is to provide students with the skills to be confident and successful in life by fostering academic excellence and instilling self-belief, intellectual curiosity and responsibility for themselves and for others.

With excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the highest ambitions and expectations for our children, you will build strong relationships with governors, parents, teachers, pupils and others to deliver excellent teaching and learning outcomes for our young people.

This is an opportunity to lead our school in its continued improvement from “Good” to “Outstanding. We are looking to support an inspirational leader with the vision, integrity and drive to lead our committed and talented team.

We are seeking to appoint a leader who will continue the progression of the school by:

  • Developing a partnership approach to deliver excellent teaching and learning
  • Driving school improvement and leading the journey from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’
  • Working in partnership with the Governing Body to deliver strong and effective leadership
  • Setting clear, high expectations and objectives
  • Providing a culture where everyone is valued and encouraged to achieve their potential
  • Promoting further engagement with the local community
  • Demonstrating exceptional inter-personal skills.
