Ganneys Meadow Early Years Centre developed from an 80 FTE place nursery school. In May 1998 the Centre was designated an Early Excellence Centre by DfES, and re-designated as a Phase 1 Children’s Centre in November 2004. The Centre offers a seamless service of quality learning, care and support for children 0-5 years, their families and for practitioners who work with them.

Due to the early retirement of our long-serving and valued Headteacher/Head of Centre in December 2015, we are looking for an experienced, reflective and inspirational leader to continue delivering high quality early education, care and Children’s Centre activities, with the ability to improve the achievement of children and ensure the potential for a strong foundation in life-long learning. The successful candidate will maintain a high standard of support, provision and the seamless integration of services, whilst continuing to drive forward the Centre’s vision and new initiatives that will benefit the families and the Children’s Centre footprint.

The role is challenging and complex, yet highly rewarding, and has considerable scope for personal and professional development.

All candidates must be of QTS and NPQH status, and the post is subject to an enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
