Holsworthy is a thriving rural market town close to Dartmoor and the surfing beaches of North Cornwall. The atmosphere at the School is vibrant and welcoming and we are good at sport. The children are ECO friendly and we hold the ECO Schools Green Flag. The number on roll is increasing and the governors are seeking an experienced leader who can manage a dedicated team and take us on to further success.

The qualities we are looking for include:

• an ability to provide effective leadership and manage change;
• excellent interpersonal skills;
• the ability to raise confidence, recognise potential and celebrate achievement;
• an understanding of evaluating and monitoring school performance in order to raise standards;
• a commitment to inclusion and provision of opportunity for all;
• the ability to work closely with governors and staff to demonstrably raise standards;
• an understanding of financial and budget management and an ability to deploy resources effectively.

Our staff are enthusiastic and mostly long serving. We have recently recruited two Assistant Headteachers. The behaviour of children at the School is one of our priorities.
