Long Sutton is a small, popular Church of England primary school that, from September, will have six classes including two split-year groups. We have a well-established staff team who have been praised by both Ofsted and SIAMs in recent inspections.

Our school has been successfully led and managed by members of our current Senior Leadership Team since our previous Headteacher left in 2014, and from September 2015, an interim Co-Headship arrangement will be in place. The challenging and inspiring education of the children has been uninterrupted and achievement and progress remain good. We are now looking forward to finding a new Headteacher who can join our team and lead us on the next steps of our journey.

  • Leads assessment of learning in the new curriculum

  • Listens, develops and delivers a vision for the school that everyone believes in
  • Connects with parents, listens to their concerns, deals with the important issues
  • Is a strong communicator
  • Has a sense of fun, and enjoys has the respect of the children, staff and parents

We offer you:

  • Enthusiastic children who are caring and keen to learn
  • A well-established, dedicated staff team who put our children first and motivate them to strive for excellence
  • Teachers who are very good, often outstanding
  • A wonderful environment that is caring and competitive, small and energised, academic and broad reaching
  • The opportunity to make a difference to our community
