AIM FOR OUTSTANDING

Following the retirement of the existing Headteacher Governors are seeking to appoint someone with charisma, successful headship experience and ability to innovate who will build on our Ofsted 2014 'Good' to ensure teaching and learning is second to none.

Plume School is the only secondary school in a desirable market town set in rural Essex. It is a standalone academy with the future potential to expand as part of a local Multi Academy Trust. Our long term strategic vision is To develop the school and collaborate with local primaries to provide outstanding education provision for all young people in the Maldon District form 0-19 years'

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent range of courses and vocational opportunities for students of all abilities and see ourselves as the heart of the community. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and determined person with excellent strategic awareness and inter-personal skills.

Demographic changes in the very early stages of planning will lead to the future expansion of the school with an opportunity for the successful candidate to help determine the aspirational vision of providing 'all through' education.
