Due to the retirement of our highly inspirational and visionary Headteacher the governors of this inclusive Nursery School and Children's Centre welcome applications from appropriately experienced professionals who are committed to supporting families through the provision of high quality integrated care and early education for children from 6 months to the end of their pre-school year. In the recent Nursery School inspection in November 2014 we received an outstanding judgement from Ofsted in all areas.

The Nursery School is commissioned by the LA to deliver Children's Centre Services; recently our services have been extended (from April 2015). The newly appointed Headteacher with overall responsibility will work in close partnership with the Locality Children's Centre Leader (based at Collyhurst) to embed the Core Purpose and Manchester's New Delivery Model in the locality on behalf of the city council. We are looking for an exceptional leader with excellent leadership qualities and the drive and determination to take the setting forward in this new exciting stage of development for the Collyhurst Cluster of 4 Children's Centres.

The successful candidate will be:

  • An Early Years Educational Professional with a track record of leading a high quality EYFS curriculum
  • An inspirational leader with a clear vision for leading integrated services for children and families, working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies
  • Able to raise standards, ensuring high quality care and provision and further strengthening the assessment and tracking of children's progress
  • An effective manager with very good interpersonal skills

About us
We are a Nursery School commissioned to managed a cluster of children’s centres in North Manchester.

Manchester City Council commission Collyhurst Nursery School to deliver Sure Start services from 4 sites, Collyhurst, Harpurhey, Moston and Broadhurst.

We are a Manchester Local Authority maintained Nursery School with a fully integrated Children's Centre onsite.
