Our Lady's RC High School has 720 students and is a mixed, 11-16 comprehensive within the family of the Diocese of Salford. The school is situated on the Higher Blackley Education Campus which opened in 2009, and is co-located with North Ridge High School, a 110 place specialist support day school for 12-19 year old students with learning difficulties. The state of the art new building has excellent ICT facilities and bright, flexible learning spaces allowing creativity to flourish. The real strengths of the school however, are the staff, students and governors. This is a warm, caring and happy Catholic school where staff are committed to improving students’ life chances and to ensuring the school is the very best it can be.

Our Lady's is a dynamic and ambitious school and it is in a strong position to move forward. The role of the new Headteacher will be to build on current successes and continue this progress. We are looking for someone who recognises our potential to develop further and who will show a passion for making a difference to our school and our students.

Our Lady’s Roman Catholic High School is a mainstream, co-educational secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Higher Blackley, Manchester, and it has 850 students on its roll.

Pupils’ spelling, punctuation and grammar in writing, and their use of standard English when speaking, have improved significantly since the last inspection. School leaders, including governors, have an accurate understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for development. They are determined to continue improving opportunities for pupils. Senior leaders have taken effective measures to improve levels of literacy. Teachers provide pupils with opportunities to develop their speaking skills and practise their use of standard English.”
