Job overview
“Aim High”
Falconhurst is an inclusive school that is ambitious for all its children. We serve a catchment area close to Central Milton Keynes. Our children offer an opportunity to work in an environment that supports different cultural and linguistic backgrounds where up to 40% of children live in income deprived households.
Falconhurst has made significant progress in recent years. If you believe you can continue to help us drive progress and improvement then this headteacher role may be right for you.
We seek a headteacher who is:
- an inspiring, highly experienced teacher who knows how to share their expertise;
- an active, engaged and visible leader who inspires respect, trust, commitment and unity of purpose;
- a creative, outward-looking, strategic leader who can identify and exploit external opportunities and challenges and collaborate with our local authority and other schools to the benefit of our children;
- an open, consultative, fair but decisive manager who can drive through difficult decisions when needed.
We can offer:
- scope to use and share your leadership skills to ensure opportunity and success for our children;
- staff who are focussed and committed to working hard to drive progress and secure improvements across the school;
- a committed and active Governing Body (many of whom are relatively new in role);
- excellent and supportive relationships with Milton Keynes Local Authority.
Why not visit our website, where you will find a video that the children of Falconhurst have made about the headteacher they would like.
