Head Teacher and Director of a Multi-Academy Trust in Northamptonshire

Our current Head Teacher will be retiring on the 31st of December 2015 after fourteen years in post.

She has built up a happy and successful school. There are 435 (aged 7-11) pupils currently on roll and set to increase further.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Head Teacher who is committed to building on the present achievements and to developing relations within the newly formed MAT of the four schools - infant and junior schools in Finedon and Irthlingborough. The MAT came into being in April 2015. (The Irthlingborough and Finedon Learning Trust).

We have great opportunity for an experienced and qualified professional with drive and creativity, who is passionate about making a positive difference to children’s learning. You will work under the guidance of an outstanding Executive Head Teacher, who the Trust is currently recruiting and who will support you with the school improvement process, and develop you professionally.

Irthlingborough Junior School has a four form entry; there are currently 452 pupils on roll.

Our Trust

The Irthlingborough and Finedon Learning Trust (IFLT) was formed in April 2015. We are a Multi Academy Trust, and our schools are Irthlingborough Nursery & Infant School, Irthlingborough Junior School, Finedon Infant School and Finedon Mulso CE Junior School, and we are located in East Northamptonshire. The four schools have collaborated for many years as the two small towns of Irthlingborough and Finedon are just over a 1 mile apart. The Irthlingborough schools share the same site and children and the two heads work closely with each other. The two schools in Finedon are managed by a single Head Teacher and work very much as one Primary school. All four schools have been categorised as ‘Good’ schools by Ofsted.

Our Trust ethos is Stronger together for all our children. Since conversion the Head Teachers have worked hard to develop collaborative working between our schools, this focus will remain and under the leadership of the Executive Head Teacher, will continue to develop and embed.
