Headteacher

Mr Benjamin Hulbert

Values and vision

Tweedmouth Community Middle School wants to provide all students with a safe, happy, responsible and well-ordered community for them to thrive and feel valued as individuals. It wishes for students to work to the best of their ability and acquire the skills and knowledge to succeed both academically and emotionally throughout the rest of their education and adult lives. The secondary school encourages achievements and wants to concentrate on positive behaviour rather than reflecting on negativity. Good behaviour and strong moral values are practiced at all times and the school follows the RESPECT code of conduct, standing for: “be responsible for your actions, show effort and enthusiasm, support our school community, take pride in your school and your work, be equipped – have the right tools, come to school with a positive attitude and take care of everyone and everything”. Tweedmouth Community Middle School holds a healthy schools and anti-bullying accreditation.

Ofsted

“Pupils’ attitudes and behaviour in lessons and around school are consistently good and sometimes outstanding. A far more robust and challenging target-setting and assessment system is beginning to help leaders to lever up attainment. Parents and carers have very positive views about the school and say that their children feel safe and enjoy their education. Welfare arrangements are very good. Safeguarding procedures meet all requirements”.
