St Joseph's is a vibrant and very popular 3-form entry middle school located in the market town of Hexham.

We are seeking to appoint a new full-time Headteacher with effect from 1st September 2015 following the retirement of our Head after 19 years service.

The Governors are looking for a person who: 

• is a committed and practising Catholic
• has a clear understanding of leadership in a Catholic school
• is an inspirational leader who has the vision to take the school forward to become outstanding
• has excellent skills in communication, monitoring, data analysis and motivating staff and pupils to achieve the best possible outcomes 
• continues to develop collaborative links with our feeder school and other schools in the Hexham Partnership 
• continues to work closely with our parents, parishes and the wider community for the benefit of our pupils.

• an Arts College which provides many extra-curricular activities in music, art, drama and dance
