Job overview

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a visionary, experienced and highly motivated individual to lead and inspire our hardworking and caring community school.

Hook CP School is a successful primary school situated within a thriving riverside village in the heart of Pembrokeshire.

We aim to provide a happy, safe, caring, inclusive learning environment in which our pupils will enjoy being part of and, as a result, will learn and thrive.

The school has recently received a positive inspection that recognises its continued improvement. Our final report is due 16 April 2015.

Safeguarding and Child Protection are key priorities for Pembrokeshire’s Education and Children Service. We aim to support vulnerable children and young people to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be. Our schools are committed to ensuring the safety and protection of all children and will take action to safeguard their well-being, and acknowledge that children have a right to protection. This is supported in the general ethos of all schools.

The post is subject to a DBS check.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and highly recommended. Please contact the current Headteacher on 01437 890343 or email: head.hook@pembrokeshire.gov.uk. Mr. Nick Allen will be delighted to discuss the schools strengths and current improvement journey.
