St. Peter’s, judged as Good in our recent OFSTED, is a much sought after and oversubscribed Catholic primary school situated in the historic coastal town of Scarborough.

Following the promotion of our current head teacher, the governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed practising Catholic to lead our talented and effective team in the next phase of our journey towards Outstanding. 

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced teachers with proven management skills and a clear vision for Catholic Education.

We are seeking a head teacher who will:

• inspire, challenge and motivate staff, in order to maintain and develop the best teaching and learning;
• work closely with our governing body in the assessment, monitoring and evaluation of pupils’ progress, attainment and wellbeing; and
• work collaboratively with local heads but in particular with heads of other local Catholic schools to ensure high standards of attainment and to sustain and develop the school’s Catholic Ethos;

• our dedicated teaching and support staff have high aspirations for all pupils; and
