Job overview

Help us develop open minded and enquiring thinkers, not just great exam results.

At HBH Academy Trust, we have a clear vision of education. To us, it’s not just about excellent examination results, important though they are. We see our mission as creating open minded and enquiring thinkers whose lifelong love of learning will empower them to experience success. You will transform the way we work, replicating best practice across the Trust and doing whatever it takes to give our students the edge.

Alongside the Governors, you will shape far-reaching strategy, whilst championing innovation in teaching and ensuring rigorous evaluation.

Equally importantly, you will take ownership of our finances, community engagement and outreach, making certain that parents, partner organisations, local businesses and other schools understand our vision and work with us to realise it.

Above all, you will be an inspired and inspiring leader who can stimulate both staff and students to achieve their full potential and raise the performance of their peers.

To be equal to the challenge, you should be an experienced Head, or an aspirational experienced Deputy, qualified teacher and high-achieving graduate. Your track record of delivering improvements will speak for itself and you will have clear views about our curriculum, learning approach and technology.

Quite simply, you will realise a truly inclusive approach to education, responding rapidly to challenge and change and making your mark not just on the school but also on a whole generation.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact, Donna Nott, Business Manager on 07794006821 to arrange a convenient time.

Hartley Brook is a very popular academy that recognises and celebrates its vibrant culture. We continue to establish strong partnerships with parents and carers in order to help build an inclusive environment where children can participate, thrive, reach their full potential and are proud of their achievements.

We have developed a strong and caring whole school community, which has helped us go from strength to strength. The thoughtful and supportive staff ensure children are at the centre of everything we do. We want to provide our children with the best start in life and support them to become ambitious and prepare for life beyond the classroom.

At Hartley Brook we have high expectations of both learning and progress and ensure children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. We have an inclusive curriculum and all children regardless of their ability are able to access all areas of the curriculum. Our values (tenacity, scholarship, unity, responsibility, and curiosity) underpin everything we do on a daily basis.

Thank you for your interest in Hartley Brook - we look forward to hearing from you.
