The governors invite applications for the post of headteacher, following the retirement of the current headteacher at the end of this academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong and inspirational leader with the drive and enthusiasm to further develop our 'good' school to become 'outstanding'.

We are looking for a headteacher who will:

  • have the vision to promote the highest standards of teaching, learning, pupil achievement and behaviour
  • be genuinely interested in a diverse range of children and provide first-class opportunities for them all to achieve high standards
  • demonstrate excellent strategic planning and sound financial management
  • show instinctive, sound judgement, especially under pressure
  • enthusiastically encourage parents and carers to work in partnership with the school and to engage in their children's learning
  • continue to support and further cultivate a team-working approach throughout the school
  • have a good sense of humour
  • work in collaboration with other schools and continue strong relationships with the local and wider community.

You will be a strategic thinker and an exceptional leader; enthusiastic with a clear vision of how to take our school forward from its strong position.
