Job overview

At St Ignatius School all our children are valued and nurtured.  We want to ensure that they achieve more than they thought possible within a Catholic learning environment where they feel happy and secure.  We are seeking someone who will support and challenge our learning community, establishing open and transparent relationships and who is able to take us on the next stage of our journey, building on the good work already in place to improve our school.

The governors, together with the children, parents and staff are seeking an inspirational headteacher who is passionate about learning and who puts this at the heart of everything they do; a headteacher who is ambitious for each child as an individual.  We will warmly welcome the right candidate into our vibrant community and give them every assistance and encouragement to reach their full potential.

We are seeking a leader who:

  • Has the inspirational vision and single minded drive to ensure the best possible educational outcome for all children, regardless of ability, need or background
  • Will lead, support and encourage our existing staff, recognising their hard work and commitment to provide an excellent range of learning opportunities for every child
  • Will continue to guide our school through the improvements needed to become an outstanding school
  • Is a practising Catholic and is committed to building strong relationships with parents, staff and the local Catholic community
  • Who advocates working in partnership; is a leader who understands and embraces the benefits of engaging in school-to-school support, both as giver and receiver
  • Will work in partnership with a supportive governing body and who welcomes strong and committed governance

The successful candidate will have the full support of the governing body, offering the training and professional learning opportunities they feel they need to achieve their full potential.

Governors welcome interested candidates who would like to visit the school. If you would like to book a place on a tour for March 5th at 9.30am or March 11th at 1.30pm please email Ms Adele Corbettat a.corbett@st-ignatius.surrey.sch.uk (If you are unavailable at these times, we are happy to arrange an alternative.)
