Holy Trinity Academy is a new-build ecumenical secondary school jointly promoted by the Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury and the Anglican Diocese of Lichfield.    

The Governing body of Holy Trinity Academy are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and visionary Headteacher to lead our new School. We are looking for a leader who will relish the task of establishing Holy Trinity Academy as a centre of excellence in secondary education with a firm Christian ethos, welcoming those of all faiths and none.

We want our School to be Outstanding, the School of choice in the local area. Your challenge is to deliver outstanding teaching and learning across the School without compromising our high standards of pastoral care and our commitment to our local community.

The proposed Holy Trinity Academy will open in September 2015 (in new premises) as a successor school to Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic College, Telford. The new school may be established initially as a Voluntary Aided school. It is the Dioceses' intention to convert to academy status as soon as is practicably possible. (If potential applicants would like to speak to the Dioceses, we would be delighted to arrange this by appointment)

We are seeking to appoint a Practising Catholic or Anglican to lead and develop the school. The successful candidate will be rooted in her or his own faith whilst recognising and respecting the differences between Roman Catholic and Anglican faith traditions. Our new Headteacher/ Principal designate will embrace those traditions, and ensure that our vision is fully realised for a distinctively Christian and inclusive school offering an excellent education to pupils of all faiths and none.

We would urge candidates to visit Blessed Robert Johnson College prior to an application so that we can answer any questions you may have and so that you can engage in the collective joint vision. A visit to the Holy Trinity site can also be arranged, and would be a great opportunity to see all the building work for the construction of our wonderful new School.
