Job overview

Join us to nurture lively minds in a safe, caring environment

We are looking for an inspirational, dynamic and creative leader for our happy, friendly and welcoming school. We are located at the heart of a vibrant village close to Bath and several market towns.

We were rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2011 with an outstanding level of care, guidance and support for children. The Inspector stated that: “Parents and carers value the way in which the school looks after their children, and pupils say that they are very confident they will always be looked after well.”

We are looking for someone who can build on these strengths. You will inspire and challenge the whole school community, to move us forward with enthusiasm towards outstanding.

We can offer you a good school with:

  • Children with outstanding behaviour, who are happy, and keen to learn;
  • A school which has seen steady improvement and has the drive and desire to improve further;
  • An experienced and hard-working staff team, with a lot of laughter;
  • A committed and supportive governing body;
  • Well equipped, modern facilities, in a beautiful rural setting, next to our village church.

We are looking for:

  • An inspirational team leader who can motivate and encourage others;
  • An outstanding practitioner in your primary education career to date, and happy to retain some regular teaching responsibilities;
  • Commitment to raising standards through the delivery of an exciting and creative curriculum;
  • A visible and skilful communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Commitment to placing Christian values at the heart of everything we do.

We welcome informal visits to the school. Please contact Andrea McCall in the school office to arrange a visit on 01373 832367.

Closing date: Noon, Friday 8 May 2015.
