Following the retirement of our current much admired and successful Headteacher the Governing Body of Gilbrook Special Primary School wish to appoint a dedicated and inspirational leader with the ambition and vision to maintain our current outstanding Ofsted Judgement, build on our continued success and further develop the school.

The inspectors stated that:-

  • Gilbrook makes an enormous positive difference to the lives of its pupils
  • Pupils are unanimous in stating that Gilbrook is the best school ever
  • Parents have nothing but praise for the school.

As a maintained special school, Gilbrook caters for primary age children with a range of needs impacting upon their behaviour. The school specialises in providing a structured learning environment which meets the needs of pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, ADHD, autism, speech, language and communication difficulties.

Our new leader must be able to evidence excellent leadership skills which can be used to build on our schools long established reputation for excellence.
