Maiden Erlegh Trust wishes to appoint an exceptional headteacher to its lead school, Maiden Erlegh School (Earley), following the promotion of the substantive headteacher to the role of Chief Executive of the Trust.

Maiden Erlegh School is a large, oversubscribed 11–18 all-ability school with high expectations and excellent examination results, which is currently led by two co-headteachers on an interim basis. Trustees now wish to make a permanent appointment. You will be a strategic and collaborative leader with a clear vision to inspire our students as well as staff, parents and the local community. You will have the opportunity to contribute to wider system leadership across the Trust and our Teaching School Alliance.

Maiden Erlegh School, an Ofsted awarded 'Outstanding' school in all inspection categories, is a highly successful comprehensive school providing education and enrichment for over 1,800 students aged 11-18. 

We have been serving our local community for more than 50 years and were one of the first schools nationally to convert to an academy 2011.
