Due to the retirement of our long serving, highly successful Headteacher, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint a practising Catholic and aspirational leader to continue the school’s success and build for the future.

St Mary’s is an oversubscribed Catholic school and keen learning community. Our children are known for their high academic attainment, friendliness and excellent behaviour. We seek an experienced practitioner with enthusiasm, determination and compassion to maintain and develop the highest standards.

A proven exemplary educational practitioner is sought who will:

• Be a serving Head or Deputy with both the NPQH & CCRS qualifications (or equivalent) and relevant experience on the date of commencement of post
• Demonstrate a strong Catholic faith that informs their understanding of education and senior leadership within the Catholic and Welsh context.
• Inspire, challenge, motivate and mentor staff, so maintaining and developing the best teaching and learning
• Help to enable all our children to aspire to achieve their full potential
• Maintain the school’s positive partnership with parents, parishes and wider community
