ROLE DEFINITION

To assist with the delivery and organisation of a high quality healthy start club

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Responsibilities

  • To undertake individual role in line with the Council’s business objectives and in compliance with the Council’s corporate policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by Management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.

Role Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To assist with planning and delivery of activities designed to meet the children's individual needs and encourage play opportunities.
  • To work as part of a team, help to ensure that all children's activities are carried out in a caring, safe and creative environment at all times and give individual support to specific children as necessary to facilitate inclusion.
  • Assist with the daily registration and handling & processing of money.
  • To assist with keeping of records and statistical information as required.
  • Participate in any training and development opportunities, as they arise.
  • To assist with purchasing, preparation and presentation of food and oversee eating times.
  • To assist with preparation of activities, clearing up afterwards and ensure materials are stored away safely.
  • To bring a happy and positive attitude to the service and always have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Undertake continuing personal & professional development relevant to this post.
