Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant, who has extensive experience of working with pupils with communication difficulties and, to join our dedicated team at Canolfan y Môr.

The successful candidate will:

• have excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
• have good interpersonal skills
• provide PPA cover for the Centre Teacher*
• take a lead role in the management of the Centre (manage and mentor teaching assistants)
• assist the teacher with the development and implementation of Individual Education and Behaviour Plans
• comply with and assist with the development of policies and procedures
• devise and implement agreed teaching programmes and resources
• work as part of a committed and supportive multi-disciplinary team
