About the role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified higher level teaching assistant to join our friendly, supportive team.

 

The successful candidate will:

 Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils

  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a relevant Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Has a good standard of education including English & Maths (GCSE/Level 4)
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has experience of working within a classroom setting and with Primary aged pupils
  • Experience of planning and leading teaching and learning activities (under supervision)
  • Has excellent behaviour management skills
  • Is an excellent role model

 

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
