HLTA - Supporting and Delivering Learning (Level 4)

Contractual Hours: Variable hours 20 to 30 starting on 25 hours per week, term time plus 3 days

The Governors of Whitley Memorial CE First School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across the school from Nursery to Year 4 delivering interventions and PPA cover.

We are looking for someone who:

• has HLTA status; (HLTA qualification)
• has experience of whole class teaching to cover PPA or short term absence of teachers - - is committed to supporting children’s learning, including pupils with SEN
• promotes positive values, attitudes and good behaviour - - creates and maintains a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
• has high expectations of all pupils with a commitment to raising standards
• has a passion to make a difference and a real ability to inspire and motivate
• has good communication and listening skills, and an ability to relate well to children and adults
• has a good understanding of primary national strategies and intervention programmes
• has the commitment to contribute to the extended life of the school
