Emirates National School (ENS), a well-established school with 3 existing K-12 campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, is proud to launch two purpose-built schools in the Northern Emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. The current ENS schools are all authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme Schools and the soon-to-open Northern Emirates campuses are in the process of requesting IBO candidacy for IBPYP.

ENS Sharjah is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Primary Homeroom Teachers, looking for an opportunity to explore new cultural settings and to advance their teaching career.

With a state-of-the-art facility, an excellent Professional Development Programme and easy access to Dubai, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, the ENS Sharjah campus is looking to attract applicants who already have experience within the IBPYP or Common Core and those wishing to add IBPYP experience and training to their existing qualifications and competencies.

ENS schools use the following curricula and frameworks in the kindergarten and primary: High Scope kindergarten programme, IBPYP framework, Common Core standards, Reading Street, Everyday Math and MAP assessments.
Required Competencies and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be:

  • familiar with American K-12 curriculum and/or IBPYP;
  • able to teach within an EAL context;
  • creative and passionate about teaching;
  • an experienced practitioner or enthusiastic NQT;
  • a holder of a bachelor’s degree in education and/or a post-graduate teaching qualification;
  • native English speaking;
  • internationally-minded and open to new cultural experiences;
  • able to integrate mobile learning into day-to-day teaching; and,
  • committed to the provision of excellent pastoral care.
