Our excellent boarding facilities host students from around the world as part of a school community of more than 50 nationalities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUPPORT AND LEARNING

• Provide student support and further their personal, moral, physical and intellectual development
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of students in the boarding houses
• Support the Head of Boarding and other House Parents in their roles
• Maintain a positive house culture and be a positive role model
• Liaise and communicate with the Head of Boarding on all matters of boarding student life
• Help with the administration and supervision of the boarding house including after school activities
• Monitor and report the general progress of boarding students to the Head of Boarding
• Manage the boarding house (staff and students) in the absence of the Head of Boarding

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• A University degree and the ability to support students’ academic progress
• Fun, outgoing, friendly and enjoys working with young people
• Sound judgement
• Excellent command of the English language and is an excellent communicator
• Resilience and flexibility- understands the demands of a boarding environment
• An excellent knowledge of safeguarding young people
• A sound understanding of different cultures

Desirable

• Additional languages (especially German)
• Boarding experience, school or social education work experience
• Experience in the pedagogical/student care field/teaching qualification
• Other skills to contribute to the schools’ extra-curricular program
• Valid First Aid Certificate
