We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about teaching Mathematics within the IB programme. Teaching in both the MYP and the DP is expected; a background delivering the DP Applications and Interpretations class would be helpful. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest approaches to teaching Maths to all learners, and will be able to effectively engage students in a variety of learning activities.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing and delivering lessons that meet the needs of IB MYP/DP students
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback
- Collaborating with other teachers and staff
- Maintaining a positive learning environment through effective interpersonal skills and forming positive, yet professional relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Participating as a Homeroom Teacher and occasionally accompanying school outings and trips
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (desired)
- 3+ years of experience teaching Mathematics
- Knowledge of IB Programme approaches and curriculum - or willingness to train and adapt
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The candidate must speak English at a native level. It would be an advantage to hold an EU passport and/or have relevant working papers for employment in France. This full-time position starts on 15 August 2024 and is remunerated between 45,000 euros per year and 50,000 euros per year, subject to experience.
