We are looking for a highly organised, self-motivated and dedicated individual to join our school. An active willingness to contribute to whole school improvement is vital. The post will involve working with an external IT company to keep all our IT & media systems running smoothly.

The successful candidate will be keen to work with children and staff and will run clubs and teach small groups of pupils, so you will have the ability to lead and inspire others and have fun! Candidates must have suitable IT skills (not necessarily through formal qualifications) and competent English and Mathematics skills to GCSE level. Experience of working with a school network would be an advantage, but not essential.

You will need to provide evidence that you have the skills to do the job. Shortlisted candidates will be observed working with children and will undertake technical tests as part of the selection process.

St Luke’s is a school for 138 pupils aged 9-16 with learning difficulties, including pupils with complex moderate learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders and speech, language and communication needs

Forest House Education Centre (FHEC) caters for the educational needs of up to twenty adolescents aged 13-18, who are admitted to the residential Adolescent Psychiatric Unit in Kingsley Green, Nr Radlett, Herts. The Centre also takes students referred through Education Support Team for Medical Absence (ESTMA) and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). FHEC is part of St Luke’s school in Redbourn.

For St Luke's, experience of pupils with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential; however, candidates must have a genuine interest in the teaching and learning of pupils with SEN. St Luke's and FHEC are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is essential for this post.
